Apalachee Bay Flats Duck Hunting
Redheads and bluebills over the grass flats of the Big Bend.
The Heart of Florida Redhead Country
Apalachee Bay is shallow, clear, and carpeted in seagrass. That grass is why redheads and bluebills pile in here every winter. We hunt the flats and marsh edges from St. Marks west toward Alligator Point and Ochlockonee Bay, moving with the birds, the tide, and the wind.

What to Expect
- A pre dawn boat ride out of the St. Marks and Panacea area
- Big water decoy spreads and a brushed boat blind
- Fast shooting on divers, with puddle ducks a bonus when weather pushes them in
- Back at the ramp by late morning, in time for an afternoon on the redfish if you want it
Getting Here
St. Marks is about 30 minutes south of Tallahassee. Hunters fly into Tallahassee or drive in from Georgia and Alabama and stay in Crawfordville, Panacea, or St. Marks.
We do not combine parties. Your group hunts together, and only your group, every day you are here. We do not run half day hunts. A half day does not build anything, not for you and not for us. The minimum booking is one full day plus one half day, and three days is what we prefer. Three days lets us move with the weather, put you on birds when the wind swings, and actually get to know the people in the boat. Large and small groups both welcome, and there is no minimum number of hunters.
